Saving Pets at Risk animal rescue and pet adoption is made up of a small (but mighty!) group of passionate, animal loving volunteers that work tirelessly to do what it takes to help combat the overpopulation of dogs in Shawnee, Ok. and its surrounding areas.
As the horrors of homelessness turns to hope, the spirits of our rescues begin to heal. And, after all necessary vet care is provided, diligent efforts are made to find permanent homes in which these pets will find their second chance and thrive.
Due to the overwhelming numbers of abandoned, sick, and injured animals in our area, SPAR began transporting dogs to special adoption partners out of state. This has allowed us to save several hundred more animals because where these areas have a great need for adoptable pets our area has an overabundance.
Saving Pets at Risk’s volunteers depend solely on donations and fundraisers to pay for the expenses necessary to rescue, vet, rehab, feed, foster/board and place in carefully chosen permanent homes.
Saving Pets At Risk, Inc. is a 501(c)(3), non-profit, charitable organization receiving tax-deductible contributions dedicated to finding homes for abandoned animals in which they will thrive as part of their forever families.
